PDFWriter/400™ - eVC's SCS to PDF Print Driver

This PDF driver is a high performance "electronic" print drivers that  behaves as a locally attached IBM model 3812 AS/400 SCS system printer.

In addition to supporting the SCS text printer datastream, PDFWriter/400 also supports "form-overlay".  With this feature, Forms and LOGOs  will appear on each PDF page, just like using of pre-printed forms on paper. The form-overlays must be in JPEG format and located in the AS/400's Integrated File System (IFS).  For more information about scaling and placement, please refer to the PDFWriter/400 User's guide.

Data that is to be "printed" to the driver's output queue is converted to Adobe's Acrobat PDF (Portable Document Format) and written to files. These PDF output files are located in the AS/400's Integrated File System.  They can be used for distribution, included as links in web pages, or used for archiving large amounts of printed output.

For archiving, after collecting around 600MB worth of files (approximately 3GB uncompressed) they can be downloaded to a PC for writing to CD-ROMs.

Installation:

1. Download the AS/400 Savefile http://www.exportventures.com/pub/evcprtlibsv2.zip to a personal computer. 

2. Unzip this file on the personal computer and follow the instructions in the User's Guide.
