1B. Download the AS/400 Savefile http://www.exportventures.com/pub/X5250PRDV2.zip to a personal computer. This file is approximately 12.8MB which supports the "Virtual Terminal" mode. 2. Execute or unzip this file on the personal computer. This will create an AS/400 savefile named X5250PRD. 3. Create a temporary AS/400 library named XTEMP using the AS/400 command: CRTLIB LIB(XTEMP) 4. Create a temporary save file named X5250PRD on the AS/400 in the library named XTEMP using the AS/400 command: CRTSAVF FILE(XTEMP/X5250PRD) 5. In binary mode, FTP the file X5250PRD to your AS/400's temporary savefile named X5250PRD. 6. Restore the X5250SAV library from the save file using the AS/400 command: RSTLIB SAVLIB(X5250SAV) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(XTEMP/X5250PRD) 7. Install X5250/400 and related libraries: X400 and XVLIB, using the AS/400 command: CALL X5250SAV/X5250INST 8. After the installation has been performed, you will be shown a README file. Review the "Enhancements" and "Final Installation" information, then bypass step #1 and go to step #2 for the final installation. Note: National Language fonts - You may need to install the appropriate font in your X Server (display).
