X Window/400 has been tailored to meet the OS/400 stringent ILE C ANSI development and
POSIX environment, and fully supports the OS/400 Integrated File System (IFS).
X Window/400 Included Applications
The X Window/400 distribution includes a clock called "Xclock",
handy for showing the time in an analog or digital presentation, and two editors, each
capable of editing files located in either the Integrated File System (IFS) or the
database file system (QSYS.LIB). The editor, called "Editor"
uses Motif, while "Xedit" is a simpler editor that uses the
Athena Widget Toolkit.
